I am writing this letter of support for Jerry Hoagland, candidate for County Commissioner. A candidate will quite naturally run for office based on a long list of accomplishments – which is certainly important. However, it isn’t quite natural for a candidate to talk about what they personally mean to the others who work with them.  I’m writing to let you know what Jerry means to me as a Mayor.

When I request his assistance or guidance, Jerry literally drops what he was doing and comes  to help. He is always available, returns phone calls, locates resources and other folks who will help also.

Yes,  he has been around a long time and thank God for that! It takes time for a public officer to get a grasp, to learn the ropes and to become effective – to have the knowledge and the tools necessary to quickly act. Jerry has experience and contacts and the ability to take the best care of all the cities in his district. His district Mayors, who are on the front line working with him on a daily basis, respect and admire Jerry and depend on him. Jerry is a part of every city in his district!

Jerry is there for us – which means – he is there for YOU! Jerry represents a huge line up of Collin County folks – you - who have hugely benefitted from his hard work, sacrifice and dedication during his service. We need to be sure Jerry continues his service. I strongly urge you to vote HOAGLAND FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER on March 3rd.  Go out and vote – thank Jerry for his years served and give him the priviledge and opportunity to continue to do so. Now is not the time to reinvent the wheel!

Collin County is in the news – it’s a great place to live! Thank Jerry for helping make it so – vote for Jerry Hoagland County Commissioner. I know I will!

Collin County needs 4 more years of Jerry Hoagland’s leadership experience in Precinct 2. Voters need to understand three proven facts about his long public service.

Hoagland is a proven consistent conservative  who stands  strong for lower taxes,  less spending,  and voter-approved bond monies for smart partnering priorities on county roads, major arteries,  and key city thoroughfares.

Hoagland is a proven committed visionary who balances long-term County and Precinct 2 needs.  He is highly respected by city and county officials, legislators, and other leaders in Austin.  Jerry led efforts for our great Adventure Camp, Collin College, and is working to bring 40,000 new jobs to the County.

Hoagland has a proven clear moral compass and rock solid family values, including strong pro-life views.  He  works  respectfully  with fellow Commissioners,  other elected Collin officials, and our great personnel  hires who provide County services.  It ‘s no accident we have national award-winning staff in all county services.  It starts with fair-minded experienced  leaders  like Jerry Hoagland.

My experience with Jerry began in 1978 when we both were elected to serve on Plano’s City Council. If you want 4 years of consistent conservatism, committed vision, and a clear moral compass in daily decisions by your Precinct 2 Commissioner, thank  Jerry Hoagland for his proven service and vote for him by March 2nd.  Stick with issues and facts, voters, not wannabee rhetoric!
